BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care

This degree provides opportunities to develop the attitudes, abilities and competences needed to work in a health and social care environment, both in the UK and internationally. The course uses real-life case studies and develops skills such as prioritisation, negotiation and care planning. Employers from the health and social care sector have been involved in the design and development of the course, helping ensure relevant skills are embedded in delivery.

BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care focuses on health and social care. It is designed to develop subject knowledge, academic skills and practical understanding that can support progression into employment or further study. Students may study areas such as Fundamentals of Human Anatomy and Physiology, Academic and Professional Skills, The Health and Social Care Professional, Health and Safety in Care Settings, Lifecycle Development and Principles and Practice of Safeguarding, alongside wider themes in care values, safeguarding, communication, health policy, wellbeing, public health, research skills and professional practice. Full-time - Standard delivery Studying on campus 2 days a week which is Monday - Friday (10:00-17:00)
