This course is designed to meet the needs of today's construction industry. It develops specialist skills and knowledge needed to manage a construction project from inception and design through to occupation. Teaching uses real-life examples, work-related learning, practical sessions, site inspections and expert guest speakers.
Bsc (Hons) Construction Management with Foundation Year provides a structured route into degree-level study in construction management. The foundation element helps students develop academic confidence and core subject knowledge before moving into more advanced study. Students may study areas such as Academic Integrity and Assessment, Building Design and Building Science, Introduction to Construction Management, Job Search Techniques and Professional Behaviour, Personal Development and Career Exploration and Study Strategies and Academic Development, alongside wider themes in construction technology, project planning, site management, health and safety, procurement, sustainability and built-environment practice. Full-time; GBS may offer weekday/evening classes subject to availability.
